Day 5 was a great day for the Tango kids! After a delicious breakfast, we began our voyage from the Pirate’s Bight on Norman Island to Nanny Cay. While on the motor, we covered a knot tying lesson and also a docking lesson. These were both important subjects to cover as we were heading towards our first docking of the program!

After a very successful and smooth docking (and many a proud and celebratory smiles all around), we were able to have some fun tackling everything that Nanny has to offer. We went to the marina’s pool, beach, smoothie and ice cream bars and shops while getting to hang out with our new friends.  We returned from our free time and had amazing showers on shore while dinner crew started meal prep. We had scrumptious fajitas and cleaned the boat to be in ship shape for cleaning inspection.

Following dinner, we had a onshore social at Captain Mulligans with the Alpha program, where we were able to watch the funny movie ‘Get Smart’ at an outdoor theater. Once the movie ended, our tired eyes and heavy heads scooted back to boats for a peaceful boat meeting and a good night’s rest.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
