Bravo, Charlie, Foxtrot, Sierra 2: Day 14 – Scrub Island

Day 14 started with an early morning wake up at Anegada and a delicious breakfast buffet. The fleet then headed out of the mooring field for a long sail to Scrub Island. Along the way the crews perfected their sail raising and worked on mastering sail trim. Once we arrived at Scrub we picked up mooring balls at the nearby Marina Key as we prepared grilled cheese for lunch and waited for docking space to open up. Just after lunch all the boats were docked and our deep cleans began. It took a few tries but all the boats passed inspection and the crews got to spend some time on shore in the shops, on the water trampoline, and on the waterslide. The evening consisted of a refreshing land shower, phone time, and baked penne. Once dinner was cleaned the Sierra and Foxtrot students had a shark and rays lesson and got to see some nurse sharks under the docks while the Charlie and Bravo crew had a star lesson. After seeing some exciting things the crews headed off to bed to get some sleep before a busy day ahead.
