Today we started the morning by listening to Banana Pancakes by Jack Johnson while Jack, Silas, and Rocco made delicious pancakes with crispy bacon. Along with breakfast, we enjoyed some freshly squeezed orange juice, which was so yummy and the perfect way to start the day.

After breakfast, we completed our PDC’s and got underway toward Anegada. Alice was our Skipper of the Day and led everyone through a Challenge Day practice by completing a challenge that involved dropping the ball and raising the sails. It was a great opportunity for everyone to work together, communicate, and prepare for the real thing.

Once we arrived at Anegada, we enjoyed some swim time off the boat before heading ashore for a Marine Biology lesson all about sharks, followed by a beach clean to help keep the island beautiful.

Afterward, we treated ourselves to some ice cream and snacks at Big Bamboo before making our way to the Anegada Shark Sanctuary. There, we walked through the shallow lagoon and were lucky enough to spot several baby nurse sharks and lemon sharks in their natural habitat.

We then hopped back into the trucks and returned to our boat, where everyone enjoyed refreshing ocean showers before sitting down to a delicious beef stir-fry dinner. It was another fun-filled day of learning, adventure, and making memories in the beautiful BVI!
