Day 4!! What an eventful day. We started off by waking up at the crack of dawn to the morning views of Cooper Island. We had yogurt parfait for breakfast then started our day by doing pre departure checks and getting our divers ready to head ashore for dives. Once divers left, the rest of our crew got the chance to bond with other boats by having some students join us on Judges Chambers, we made new friends and started our motor journey to Salt Island. Once we got to Salt Island we dingied ashore and went on a hike that included a history lesson about the Rhone wreck. At the top of the hike, we saw a beautiful view of crashing waves and a single plumeria bush.
Once we finished our hike, we gathered again to then head back to Cooper where we joined our fellow mates. We had chicken caesar salad for lunch and then started getting ready for shore time and more afternoon dives. While the divers continued diving and ASA students got the chance to colgate, all the other students had an informative marine biology lesson by Finn about sea grass.
On shore at Cooper, some had ice cream, some did water sports, and others took time to enjoy the beach! The AOW divers returned a little after 4:00 and said that they had an awesome time diving!
We all gathered again in the late afternoon to get back to our boats where we did showers and started dinner prep. We made smash burgers for a delightful meal and ended our night by having our daily boat meeting, playing games and listening to Wyatt play the ukulele!
