It was beautiful and sunny today! We had a breakfast buffet in the morning, made by Kate and Violet, so that the divers could get ready for diving and the rest of the boat could get ready for sailing!

The open water divers did more dives for their certification. Advanced open water divers did fish identification and navigation dives, which were their last two dives, and now they are certified AOW divers! When diving, they saw a nurse shark and a cool octopus. At the same time, the non-divers sailed from Cooper to The Bight at Norman Island. The sail took roughly 3 hours, and we practiced how to safely gybe to sail downwind down the channel. It was fun! We sailed with a few kids from Moet and talked to them and danced with them during the sail.

When at The Bight, we had lunch, made by Angelina and Cortez, and hung out in the water, which was so pretty and light blue. In the afternoon, we got to do water sports and do tubing, which I led, or wakeboarding, which Chiara led! The Colgaters also did lots of Colgating today! Some of our students passed their ASA 101 practical, and other ASA 101 & 103 students spent a few hours sailing and having fun in the Colgate!

Finally, our DSDs got to dive for the first time at Cooper! They had a great time doing 3 new skills underwater and seeing how we can breathe underwater when SCUBA diving.

In the evening, we had burrito bowls made by Abbott and Catherine Rose. Diving and seeing the shark and octopus was a key highlight of the day. Students also loved dinner!! They are very excited to go to Nanny Cay tomorrow and have land showers!
