Earlies Fleet! Day 10
Written by Izzy O., Mate In Training
Today was truly one for the books. A perfect day from start to finish!
We started the morning with an absolutely wonderful breakfast. We enjoyed delicious French toast topped with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. It was the perfect way to kick off the day and gave us lots of energy for all the adventures ahead.
After breakfast, we completed our PDCs and got everything ready before setting sail from Anegada toward Sandy Cay. The weather was partly cloudy when we first left, but as the day went on, the clouds began to clear, and the sun came shining through. It turned into a beautiful sail with perfect conditions out on the water.
While we were underway, the fun never stopped. We spent time listening to music, drawing our team flags, and creating chants in preparation for the much-anticipated event of the day… THE OLYMPICS! Everyone got creative and excited as team spirit started building. Along the way, we also enjoyed a super yummy lunch filled with lots of sandwiches, which kept us fueled for the competitions ahead.
Once we arrived and anchored at Sandy Cay, it was finally time for OLYMPICSSSS! The games were full of laughter, teamwork, and a little bit of competition. We battled it out in an intense game of tug-of-war, worked together to bury our captains in giant sandcastles, and showed off our skills during synchronized swimming competitions. Everyone gave it their all, and the beach was filled with cheering, laughing, and unforgettable memories.
After the Olympics wrapped up, we headed back to the boat, de-anchored, and made our way over to Jost Van Dyke. Once we picked up a mooring ball, everyone enjoyed some nice showers and got cleaned up for the evening’s big event.
And what were we getting ready for, you ask?
SODA SOCIAL AT SIDNEY’S!
The night was absolutely incredible. We had a blast spending time together, sharing lots of laughs, enjoying an amazing dinner, dancing so, so, SO much, and even doing a little shopping. The energy was fantastic, and it was the perfect way to end such an exciting day.
