Good morning from Gap Year! Today, we woke up bright and early to begin the big day ahead. To get ourselves fueled up for the day, we enjoyed a lovely breakfast of French toast made by Keorie and Nava.

After breakfast, we dropped the ball and Clarke, our skipper to the day, sailed us to our next destination, which was… Sandy Cay! At Sail Caribbean, we only come to this spot for one reason and one reason only… because it’s OLYMPICS DAY!!!!

While underway, the crew decorated their boat flags to represent their teams. Once we arrived, we headed to shore and the games quickly began! First up was the snorkel-and-fins obstacle race. Our next challenge was to create a synchronized swimming routine with our boats. The challenge that followed was burying a staff member, and finally, we finished off the games with a classic round of tug-of-war.

The energy was electric, and every challenge was completed with enthusiasm, creativity, and excitement. After an action-packed Olympics Day, it was time to head to Sidney’s, another favorite event among the Sail Caribbean campers.

We had a delicious barbecue waiting for us when we arrived, and everyone from all the boats came together for one big, family-style meal. The campers got to enjoy browsing through the shops and, of course, getting ice cream for dessert. And, naturally, everyone jumped to their feet the second they heard “Beauty and the Beat” by Justin Bieber start playing! From there, it was all jumping, twirling, and showing off our best dance moves on the dance floor.

After dancing the night away, we headed back to our boats for boat meeting and power down. It’s safe to say today was an eventful one, and everyone enjoyed themselves very much! We can’t wait to see what tomorrow has in store for us. Cheers!
