The day kicked off with dinghy dares… and Sweet Caroline came out swinging for Best Dressed Captain. Their move: transforming Katie Dickson into O’Hare Air, straight out of The Lorax, after a crewmate called out her uncanny resemblance. Bold choice. Fully committed.
From there, crew shifted gears and headed to shore at Bitter End for the afternoon. Some grabbed Hobie Cats and carved up the harbor in the small dinghies, chasing wind and each other in equal measure. Meanwhile, Sierra and Foxtrot crews made their way to Green VI, learning firsthand how the BVI is tackling plastic waste and building a more sustainable future for the islands they sail.
Then came the taxi ride to Ice Willy’s, an absolute blast. Crew looked out over a harbor packed with boats from Puerto Rico, all in the BVI for a mid summer Christmas. Salt air, sunshine, and a whole lot of holiday spirit in July.
As the day wound down, showers were taken and dinner was earned. Sweet Caroline knocked out boat cleanup early and used the extra time to bake a cake from scratch. It didn’t last long.
Cake devoured. Crew crashed. Another day in the books.
