MEGA FLEET DAY 8- Bravo 1, Charlie 1, Foxtrot 1, Sierra 1

Sunday started with a rare treat, an 8am lie in. For breakfast, Sonya and Jordan spoiled us with delicious French toast topped with Nutella and bananas.

We had a smooth and sunny sail from Dead Man’s Bay to Diamond Cay, Jost Van Dyke. Sail raising was a breeze—our monkeys were on it, and Sasha raised the main sail without even using the winch (pure muscle power!). We had lunch underway: bagels with a variety of tasty fillings.

Upon arrival, our skipper Andy absolutely nailed the mooring, driving us onto the ball perfectly and hooking it on the first try. Go team!

After mooring, we took a quick swim to cool off. Then we split into two groups. One went on a snorkel and spotted a stingray, boxfish, butterflyfish, parrotfish, and even a grouper. The other group headed off on a hike to the bubble pool, catching a glimpse of some goats along the way.

Back on the boat, we took sea showers and had dinner. Dylan and Mike gave it their best shot with a stir fry, but unfortunately it turned out a bit soggy. Still, spirits stayed high as we all got dressed up and headed ashore for a fancy soda social with the other boats. It was such a treat to catch up and reconnect with friends we hadn’t seen in a while.

Our miracle moment of the day was jumping into the insanely blue, Gatorade-colored water. Pure magic.
