Day 6 Great Harbor to Nanny Cay, Tortola

By wpdev July 20, 2014

Today was an early start for the fleet. Aidan, Hadyn, Ian and Brandon headed to Nanny Cay ahead of everyone else to take part in The Premiere’s Cup. This is a regatta for teams from around the Caribbean and Sail Caribbean is delighted to have a team of five represent us. Aidan, Hadyn, Ian and Brandon were joined by a student from the Bravo program to make up the team.  They trained hard yesterday to get ready for the series of races that will take part this weekend.

God Speed Mary and Rioja sailed to Nanny Cay later  in the morning and had some very smooth dockings. After lunch Jill, Charlotte and Will headed to the dive boat to continue their certification. Everyone else had the opportunity to explore Nanny Cay, get ice cream, visit the gift shops and enjoy land showers.

In the evening God Speed Mary hosted everyone for a feast of Spaghetti Bolognaise and garlic bread. Rioja brought desert of chocolate brownies and watermelon.  Everyone worked hard to make such a big meal and it was a great end to a busy day.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
