Harry Thompson

Harry graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 2024 with a degree in Marine Affairs and a minor in Oceanography. He grew up on the North Shore of Long Island, where he began sailing at age eight. He competed in Optis, 420s, IC Dinghies, and offshore keelboats, including twice at the IC Dinghy Frostbite Nationals. This is Harry’s third year with Sail Caribbean – he previously served as a Captain and then Fleet Captain. After college, he worked at Oakcliff Sailing in Oyster Bay, where he contributed to a variety of racing and shore-side operations. He’s excited to be back on the water and looking forward to a great summer ahead!
