The Dilkara Dreamers (known around the fleet as “Dilly”) woke up to a beautiful sunny day on North Sound, buzzing with excitement about having some shore time. After Jordan and Mack whipped up some delicious yogurt parfaits for breakfast, we kicked off the day with Dinghy Dares!!

Campers raced to the staff boat to complete several challenges, including performing a dance, singing a sea shanty, fitting as many life jackets as possible on one person, and dressing up Captain Katie!! Team spirit was at an all time high as we competed with our friends on other boats.

Abigail and Max made some pizza grilled cheeses for the boat, and everyone worked together to clean up afterward, following the jobs assigned on our duty roster. Once the boat was clean, we headed to shore! Campers were able to explore the market, beach, and gift shop, AND they participated in water sports or sailing hobie cats.

“My favorite part of the day was hanging out with our mate in training, Izzy, at the beach.”

– Harper, Student on Dilkara Dreamer

After a long day of fun in the sun, we started ocean showers, and our dinner team of Llewelyn and Jordan cooked up a stir fry! We wrapped up the day with our boat meeting and prepared for another fun day tomorrow!
