Today, we were treated to a later wakeup, and a large egg scramble with veggies. Mid-morning breakfast clean was broken up with a few dance parties until every dish was cleaned and put away in its place. Running through the predeparture checklist, we donned our yellow life jackets and gave them a zip and clip.

After leaving the Bight, all four boats rose all sails for the first time! It was fun to sail together with so many yellow flags waving in the wind. We upwind sailed for a few hours, allowing students to be more familiarized with tacking, and steering on the helm.

Upon entering Little Harbor, on Peter Island, we prepared for our Mediterranean anchoring. This is when we anchor as usual, and then tie a line to our stern. The other end of the line is brought to land and tied tightly around a large rock or tree. This holds us in a smaller place while making more room for others. We had many boats to med anchor in Little Harbor so our staff was out helping each one of us as we came in. Lunch followed shortly, which was chicken caesar salad wraps.

We got to spend the next few hours with water sports, small boat sailing, and overall free time! Those on dinner prep made sloppy joes for dinner, and it was nothing less than sloppy. Surprisingly, clean up went by really quick for how much tomato sauce was on the deck. There was a glorious sunset just in time for our boat meetings. It was quite the quiet night on boat.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
