We awoke bright and early to a slight drizzle leftover from the night’s rain. Brushing away the rain, we dug into a breakfast of pear cobbler, the plain oats brightened by the cinnamon and nutmeg. After breakfast clean-up, the divers headed off for their last long day of diving. After the divers had left, we completed our pre-departure checks and dropped our mooring balls, heading out for our morning sail to Norman Island.
Catching a fare breeze, we practiced downwind sailing. After a short sail, we picked up a mooring ball at Norman Island Beach Club. With the divers remaining on the dive boat for lunch, the non-divers prepared and ate a delicious meal from their cockpits.
After lunch-clean, we snorkeled one of our favorite spots (the Caves!) and saw lots of interesting marine life. The Open Water divers finished up their confined skills this afternoon, a very proud feat! They headed back to boats and relaxed before the snorkel crew arrived back as well.
By 4:30p.m., everyone was back on their boats and started showering up. Dinner prep went quickly and we were soon all enjoying a delicious meal as the sun set. Dinner and general boat clean soon flew by and we enjoyed relaxing evening of games and eventually our nightly boat meeting to reflect on the day’s highs and lows. We were soon all fast asleep and ready for the adventures of the next day.
