Alpha 3 Day 12: Long Bay To The Bitter End Yacht Club

The sun rose casting hues of pink and gold this morning. We know because we were up to see it! Pulling up our anchors at 6a.m. to get up to the Bitter End Yacht Club on Virgin Gorda for a day of watersports, small boat sailing, shops, and food on shore!

It was a fun and different morning for us because we faced intermittent squalls for our first long passage. Each of them bringing rain for short periods of time, demanding that we adorn our foul weather gear and our best positive attitudes. Once we got into it, everyone had a great time – enjoying the freshwater rinse and the thrill of playing in the rain!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
