Day 7 Nanny Cay to The Bight, Norman Island

By wpdev July 21, 2014

Today was the second day of racing for the Premier’s Cup and the team headed to their boat after breakfast. Sophia, Abbie, Sophia, Steph, Dylan, Paul, Jill, Charlotte, Kyra, Holly and Will took a truck tour of the island. They saw Tortola and the surrounding islands from a whole new perspective at the top of the island. When they returned the boats prepared for departure. The two boats had extremely smooth dedockings with Paul at the helm of Rioja and Charlotte at the helm of God Speed Mary.

The boats sailed to The Bight where they picked up mooring balls. Paul, Sophia and Abbie went on a Discover SCUBA Dive. Steph, Dylan and Holly had a fun dive while Jill, Charlotte and Will continued their Open Water training. Sophia Newport and Kyra took some time to relax and enjoyed a snorkel at The Caves.

In the evening the fleet went ashore for a social with our Foxtrot, Sierra, Bravo and Charlie fleets.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
