Our crew began the day with a breakfast of loaded eggs at Cooper Island Beach Club. Our Open Water divers then headed to shore to continue working on their skills training. The rest of our crew gathered on the vessel Fidji for a sail together! Once pre-departure checks were completed, our crew headed out to circumnavigate Cooper Island!

Heading around the island, they experienced heavy winds and put their already strengthened sailing skills to the test. They circumnavigated the island only having tacked twice – impressive! Back on the ball, the divers came back from a morning of aquatic adventure just in time for lunch preparation.

After lunch, the divers went back to shore to continue their confined diving. Everyone else on our crew spent the afternoon learning about aquatic life, enjoying the coffee shop, and hanging out on the beach. We had a few non-divers who opted into exploring the beauty of Cistern Rock on a snorkel.

After a very exciting day, everyone headed back to boats for a dinner of jerk chicken with plantains, a local favorite!  Our yachts were cleaned and everyone then headed to shore for a social! The Delta fleet bounced around on shore and played a game of human knot and rock, papers, scissors. After the evening came to a close, we retreated back to our boats and then ultimately to our beds, tired from a long day but excited for adventures to come tomorrow!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
