Delta Day 2

By wpdev July 16, 2014

We didn’t sleep much because we got rained on. It finally cleared up and we did our first dedocking, in which Dylan was amazing as skipper. We put up our sails for the first time, while avoiding squalls. Thanks to Dylan’s masterful skippering and Sophia’s weather dance we barely avoided all the huge squalls.

Abbi was navigator for the day and helped us make our way to Marina Cay where we picked up our first mooring ball. Once on the ball, our maple-syrup fueled Canadian captain, Jarad gave a demo on how to shower in the ocean. After dinner we played an interesting game of taboo.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
