Follow Our Journey! Echo – Day 6

Watching the sun rise above the faraway horizon, we continued our sail from Virgin Gorda to St. Maarten. After the sun had risen, we were greeted by flying fish as we scoured the horizon for our first glimpse of land. Finally hearing the call of ‘land ho,’ we rushed on deck for our first glimpse of the Leeward Islands.

Greeted by a massive tall ship, and the ruins of Fort Louis, we anchored at Marigot Bay feeling proud, tired, and accomplished after our 22 hour sail. After a quick lunch, we snorkeled, showered, and relaxed, resting up to prepare for the rest of our journey.

After getting our boat back into top shape, we finally took that fateful step onto land for a walk around town and a delicious waterfront dinner!
