As soon as we woke up, the Open Water students went out to do their final skills and dives to officially become certified divers! The rest of the crew got the boat ready for our sail over to Scrub Island. The crew went over a navigation plan on how to get to our plotted destination and also learned about the rules of the road, otherwise known as ‘right-of-way’ laws for every type of vessel on the water.

By lunch, we were officially on the docks at Scrub for an afternoon that was filled with shop time, pool time (with a water slide!), water trampoline-bouncing, and some fresh water showers! The docks provided underwater lights so that all of us could see the huge tarpin swimming around the boat at night too. A boat meeting with cookies sand a game of pirates concluded the evening. We cannot wait to see what tomorrow brings us as well!

More photos coming later tonight! We appreciate your patience!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
