This morning, we had a de-docking lesson and then successfully de-docked from Nanny Cay. When we got out of
the harbor, all working hard and in sync to raise the main sail and the jib sheet. Our goal was to sail across the channel and circumnavigate Salt Island. We lowered our sails as we were coming around the corner of Salt, gaining more control of the vessel in order to anchor in the bay of Salt Island. We circled the bay before finding a perfect landing for our anchor to rest for the evening.

For lunch, we proceeded to make customized pizza bagels! They were so yummy and hit the spot! After lunch, everyone followed suit in jumping into the water to snorkel and look for as many fish as they could spot.

When dinner rolled around in the late evening, we made Chicken Parmesan with pasta and garlic bread. After dinner, we cleaned and then had boat meeting where the topic for the night was our boat’s goals. Some of them were taking
charge of the boat completely, to work on cleanliness, and to respect opinions. Then, we had a star gazing lesson as we continued to enjoy the twinkling lights above our heads before our eyes grew heavy and we slid off to sleep among friends.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
