Skipper of the Day: RyeenSoper’s Hole to Hodges Creek Marina

Today, we started off with Jen having to wake us up. We had a challenge day today, so the counselors did not help  much and encouraged us try to run all aspects of the boat on our own.  I made breakfast, bacon and eggs with a little help from a few others.

We then ate breakfast and cleaned all the dishes. Next, we dropped the mooring ball at Soper’s Hole and had a 3-hour sail.

When we arrive at Hodges Creek Marina, we went on a truck tour of Tortola and got to get some mangoes and see some glass fish being blown. Then, we took showers and had a fantastic dinner prepared by Jake and Zane and some help from Sam and Jeremy. We were very proud that we were much more independent during our sail, and still successful. Overall it was a great day!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
