This morning, we woke up at Hodges Creek Marina on Tortola and began our busy day! Our morning started with learning about our boats through a “Prior to First” lesson. After learning about the ins and outs of our liveaboard vessels and exploring the Sail Caribbean Divers’ Dive Shop, we headed back to our boats to make a de-docking plan.

After two smooth de-dockings, we set our sails towards Manchioneel Bay on Cooper Island. We devoured a delicious lunch of hoagies, and then headed ashore to explore Cooper. The divers began their Open Water and Discover Scuba Diving courses and the rest of us explored the shops and beach. We got to grab some ice cream and then retreated to snorkeling Cistern Rock!

After our busy day ashore, we headed back to our boats to make burritos and had our evening boat meeting before tucking in for the night to refresh ourselves for a busy day ahead!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
