Aivan Durfee

Aivan Durfee is a junior at the University of California, Berkeley studying Data Science and Computational Biology. He grew up in Narragansett, Rhode Island, sailing dinghies (such as Lasers, 420s, and FJs), lifeguarding, and teaching surf lessons. Currently, Aivan races FJs all over the West Coast and Hawaii as the Safety Officer and Social Chair of the Cal Sailing Team. He spends his free time snowboarding with the Cal Ski and Snowboard Team, hiking, surfing, diving, playing guitar, and doing anything that involves being outdoors, in the sun, or by the ocean.
