Alpha 3 Fleet!- Day 10

Today we woke up to another beautiful day in the BVI! The students got to sleep in this morning while the captains and mates dropped the ball and started sailing toward Sandy Cay. Once everyone woke up, breakfast was cooked underway before the students raised the sails and enjoyed the sail over.

Before we knew it, we arrived at Sandy Cay, and we all know what that means… OLYMPICS DAY!!! Each boat designed and created its own team flag before loading into the dinghies and heading to the beach to let the games begin. The challenges included tug-of-war, a synchronized dance routine, a snorkel-and-fins obstacle course, and the always-entertaining “bury your captain” competition. The beach was filled with excitement, laughter, and plenty of friendly competition as everyone cheered each other on.

Once all the events were completed, we headed back to the boats and sailed around the corner to Sidney’s, where we enjoyed a delicious barbecue buffet for dinner. After everyone had finished eating, the music was turned up and everyone rushed to the dance floor. The energy was incredible, especially since multiple fleets were there—Mega, Lima, and Alpha/Tango! It was so much fun catching up with all the familiar faces we had befriended at the beginning of the session.
