Today was about sunshine and fun – the summer camp specifics. We woke up at Cooper Island and stayed here for the day. As the sun travelled across the sky, we skittered around the earth’s surface through various means.

We water sported on wake boards and water skies and on the infamous Poparazzi tube all around the outside of Cooper Island mooring field. Divers spent the day breathing their first breaths underwater and performing the important underwater skills such as removing and replacing their regulator, regulator recovery, breathing from an alternate air source, and maintaining neutral buoyancy. Fun divers repeated these skills and enjoyed a long dive at Chrome Reef – a site pack stuffed with juvenile fishes and healthy coral.

When the sun finally met the water’s edge, it was time for dinner preparation and enjoyment, Tonight we spend the night on the boat together and focus on building our team together through boat meetings during quiet night onboard.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
