Today we woke up bright and early for a day of diving and sailing. The Open Water divers completed their first open water dives after finishing their confined dives yesterday! I was guiding the fun divers, and we had a great time. We saw a nurse shark, an octopus, and lots of lobsters.
While the non-diver group of campers got a marine bio lesson about how to identify fish underwater. Afterwards, the students got to put that to the test by going out for a snorkel. The kids saw stingray, moon jelly’s, and you guessed it- lots of fish!
Each group finished up at the same time and we then headed back to the boats for a delicious lunch of quesadillas. After lunch, we completed our PDCs, dropped the ball, and began our sail to The Bight. Clayton was Skipper of the Day, and Cassidy was our navigator. They did a great job delegating roles and keeping morale high while we raised and lowered the sails.
Once we arrived at The Bight, we enjoyed lots of fun swim time with the paddleboard and floats. For dinner, we had chicken Mediterranean bowls, which were our favorite meal so far, cooked by our amazing chefs, Owen, Luke, and Mina.
We then wound down after another amazing day in the BVI! We can’t wait to see what the next day has in store for us!
