Today, we woke up to James and Shane making a delicious breakfast of french toast before we having a fun-filled day at the Bitter End Yacht Club. The day started with a hike, which Timmy and Claire enjoyed very much. After the hike, James went on a 420 sailboat to work on his American Sailing Association Basic Coastal Cruising course. All of the students enjoyed time sailing on Hobie cats. During Bennett’s sail, he capsized many times but had a blast! In addition to sailing, Shane enjoyed wake boarding, and Anne stood up for the first time on a wake board!

Timmy and Bennett had a crazy ride on the poparazzi tube before Timmy played pool and relaxed. Liz and Anne also had their turn on the poparazzi which was super thrilling. To wrap up their afternoon, Liz and Claire enjoyed some shopping for souvenirs before everyone reconvened on the beach to relax for the early evening. Once we got back to boats, Anne and Bennett prepared a scrumptious Mahi-mahi and chicken dinner before we enjoyed a leisurely evening aboard Rioja reminiscing about the fun day!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
