We woke up to a sunny morning at Little Harbor on Tortola. Judges Chambers woke up at 6:30 to start breakfast. We surprised Captain Chiara with a pretend Mother’s Day breakfast! We made sausage, egg and cheese sandwiches, fresh orange juice, and gave Chiara homemade Mother’s Day cards.
After breakfast, we dropped the mooring ball and sailed to Trellis Bay. During the sail, we played a point of sail lesson game. We also did a line snubbing and cleat hitch tying lesson.
For lunch we made BLTs while underway and ate them as soon as we were moored.
After mooring at Trellis Bay, the divers went on the dive boat for a one tank dive. Some students went on the Colgate for more small boat sailing experience for their ASA courses. And all other students had some free time to swim in the water or go water sporting on the tube or wake board. After, we went ashore at Trellis where the kids were free to explore some of the shops and restaurants of the bay. The divers came back and met the rest of us on shore.
After shore time we came back to the boats for shower time and dinner prep. For dinner we made chicken and rice. The favorite part of the day was going on shore and celebrating pretend Mother’s Day! Tomorrow we are excited for our challenge day sailing to Bitter End!
