Good morning family and friends. Today we woke up at the Bite, which is a cool and popular spot on Norman Island. Students who are completing their ASA courses, went on the Colgate to do some of their practical exams! This included tacking, jibing, and man over board collection. Students did super well on their practicals and we are so impressed with their sailing knowledge! Shoutout to Declan, Hyrum, Bear, and Mika for skills they showcased to Captain Richie and I.
After colgating, we started our hike and snorkel! Our marine bio students explored the beautiful caves around the island. Our non marine bio students adventured on a hike, where we played many games and did some team bonding activities! What fun.
Meanwhile marine science mates Lily and Azra were on turtle tagging duties…
After our morning activities, we ate lunch and set sail for Sopers hole. Mac was our skipper, and Mason helped him, and we had a super successful sail. We are getting so good at raiding and dropping sails!
Once at sopers hole, we got to partake in some land time. We did some shopping, ate some food, and hung out with our friends!
Students then made dinner, did boat clean, and did our boat meeting! We are super excited for our action packed day tomorrow, and are making sure to rest up before boat Olympics.
Sending peace and love back home!!!
