Up before the sun today. Crew was moving by 5:45 for a quick cereal buffet breakfast before RHIB pickup and the truck ride over to Hodges. By 7:30 the whole crew was up, fed, and ready for Captain’s nav brief.
Mid morning brought crew tests across all boats, followed by a full prep departure checklist before getting underway. Today’s sail took us from Little Harbour on Jost Van Dyke to White Bay, and the water had other plans, tossing the boats around for a rougher crossing than usual. Lunch was on the water, then a hydration game to recharge before the crew hit the beach.
The second our feet touched sand, it was straight into a game of capture the flag before the beach turned into a full blown sports complex. Rugby, frisbee, football (soccer), and spike ball all got their turn, with the marquee matchup of the afternoon being Katie and Rauphie taking on Ollie and Sean, a rivalry that had the whole beach cheering. A few crew members traded the sand for a hike up to Key Bay, chasing one of the best views on the island.
By late afternoon, crew rolled into White Bay for showers, dinner prep, and mates meeting, a solid plate before a dinner clean up that turned into an impromptu bioluminescence splash under the stars.
The night closed out with a party on Unsinkable II and game night over at Jus Chillin, pure crew energy carrying the day right through to lights out and power down.
